‘Frantoio’ is our fist EVOO line released to the public and our only brand for Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The name ‘Frantoio’ is derived from the species of tree. The Frantoio tree is know to have its origins in Tuscany (Toscana) Italy. A Cold Climate Olive tree variety from Italy grown in the Australian Alps.
This variety has adapted to the Australian Alpine regions extremely well and has shown an ability to produce premium quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil year after year.

We are very proud of our Ultra Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil. As the young trees grow, the oil provided by the Frantoio Olive trees seems to impress more and more year after year. It has adapted well to the Australia alpine climate and is know producing an Ultra Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
We call it Ultra Premium because it truly is. True Extra Virgin Olive Oil needs to be of high standards to be termed Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
SMEVOO – Frantoio is labelled as Ultra Premium so that our customer can identify that this product exceeds those standards and lab test results prove our premium oil has a high polyphenol and antioxidant count and low in acids.

Snowy Mountain Extra Virgin Olive Oil: SMEVOO is only sold in a 250ml green glass bottle. This small package ensures the oil stays fresh as only 250ml is being opened at one time. The green glass helps it from UV rays prematurely aging the oil and causing oxidization.
All olives are harvested by hand, washed, and cold pressed with out delay. The oil is then gravity settled in stainless steel vats. Bottled, capped and labelled on site. We pick the olive, squeeze it and bottle the oil. No additives, no chemicals, no agents.

In a Cold Climate we find it very hard to yield anywhere above 10% oil to weight ratio. Warmer climates tend to get 23-27% oil to weight ratio. What we have found is that pressing olives via cold press in a cold climate only allows 10% of the best to be extracted. 10% oil to weight ratio and cold climate quality has resulted in an Ultra Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
